To: Prospective Real Estate Clients of Kurt Jacobs From: Von and Nancy Schafer To Whom It May Concern: Kurt Jacobs was our real estate agent during our search for a home during the winter of 2008/09. We were looking for a home for our family as we moved from the Tri-Cites to Gaylord. Kurt did a tremendous job and I would highly recommend him to any prospective clients. Some of the action items Kurt did exceptionally well included: - Preparing us for Northern Michigan, letting us know areas to live in that were desirable, given our family dynamics and areas that we may want to avoid. He not only gave us his opinion but also provided solid explanations. - Gathering critical information prior to showing us any homes including: work locations, proximity to schools (based on ages of our children), traffic tolerance, hobbies, etc. - Coordinating showings in an effort to maximize our time, while reducing idle down time. We were shown twelve houses on the first day, and thirteen on the second. Each of the homes was well within our specifications. - Kurt was knowledgeable pointing out the positive and negative of each home, while allowing us the space to make our own decisions. Kurt is not a high pressure salesman. He wants each family to choose the right home for their family. - Follow-up and follow-through are important to us. Kurt fulfilled all the promises he made. This included helping us with: inspections, setting up utilities, getting our kids enrolled in school, buying house insurance, locating an electrician, etc. Overall, we couldn’t have envisioned an agent as helpful as Kurt. If you want a realtor who looks out for his clients and gets the job done, my wife and I would highly recommend Kurt Jacobs. Please call us if you have any questions. Sincerely, Von and Nancy Schafer (989) 980-3708 ------------------------------------------------------- Summer, 2009 To Whom It May Concern: We were living in California and I had been offered a position in the Gaylord, Michigan area. I attempted to first contact two Realtors at two different companies in Gaylord and received no response in over a week. I was given Kurt Jacobs’ name by a couple of my co-workers as a Realtor to contact and Kurt responded back immediately. Since we were out of the area, our only research of houses for sale was through the internet. I sent Kurt what my family was looking at as potentials and he in return responded back with the availability of the houses we were interested in and additional houses available in the Gaylord area that were not posted on the internet. Kurt is not a 9-5 Realtor and made sure that we were provided the information in a timely manner even after hours either through e-mail or a telephone call. I flew into Michigan for 4 days to look for and potentially purchase a home. Kurt had a detailed schedule setup prior to my arrival to ensure that I maximized my schedule and show me the houses that met our needs or had the potential to meet our needs. Kurt understood my situation that my wife and family were not with me and that I had to coordinate any potential offer through them and did not push for a decision immediately. After every house that we looked at, Kurt asked me what I liked and disliked about the home so that he could get a better idea on what house would be to our liking. Kurt is NOT your typical Realtor. We have bought and sold a house before and he didn’t help us buy a house and disappear out of sight like the others we have done business with. Kurt helped us in setting up the house inspection and gave us all the pertinent information concerning utilities, schools, home insurance, electrician, plumber, and other amenities that we may need both immediately and for future reference. A week after closing Kurt followed up with us to ensure that everything was going well and to see if we need any additional help or information. Kurt truly far exceeded our expectations of a Realtor. Kurt knows his business and his clients because our house is perfect, the neighborhood is exactly what we were looking for, and the price was right. If you want a Realtor who looks out for his clients’ needs and wants and gets the job done, my family and I would highly recommend Kurt Jacobs. Sincerely, Chad Lindquist

--------------------------------------------------------------- January 18, 2009 To prospective tenants of Northern Alpine Holdings (Kurt Jacobs), When I first met Kurt it was late June and he had just purchased the rental property I was interested in. Being a new purchase it needed some work: new windows, new flooring, new paint, new garage doors, a new furnace, and appliances. I also needed to move in by August 1st, giving Kurt one month to do the work needed. Kurt said that it could be done; I put my trust in him and signed the lease. Kurt let me start moving my things to the house a week early and even helped me in moving with his truck and trailer. Thanks to Kurt sticking to his word, I was completely moved in on August 1st, which saved me from paying $600.00 for Aug. rent at my old place. I should point out that Kurt and his wife Christie were very busy throughout July with Christie’s campaign for treasurer of Otsego Lake Township. Furthermore, Kurt works full time. Despite his other obligations, the house was ready when Kurt said it would be. Since I’ve moved in I’ve had two issues that needed to be fixed, the hot water heater and a small water pump on the high efficiency furnace. Both times I called Kurt in the evening and the problems were fixed the next day when I got back from work. Kurt noticed driving by, that the roof needed to be shoveled this past December, he called me and let me know what was going on and took care of it, instead of waiting for me to call him reporting problems caused by the excessive snow build up (He’s proactive). To sum it up Kurt’s a great landlord: He’s professional, proactive, he respects your privacy, addresses problems quickly, he does what he says he’s going to do, and is all around a good guy. When I eventually move out of the area I hope that I find another landlord like Kurt. If you would like to get any more information about renting from Kurt, please feel free to give me a call or e-mail. Sincerely, Paul T Nelson Cell #: 810-772-8221 E-mail:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- July 30, 2010 Subject: Kurt Jacobs, Landlord To Whom It May Concern: This is a letter of reference in regards to Kurt Jacobs. Kurt has been my landlord since early 2009. Kurt has always been a fair and flexible landlord. He fixes problems in a timely manner and his properties are clean and well kept. Kurt has proven himself to be a real person with a large heart. My fiancé and I moved in and only a few months later our daughter was born. Kurt and his wife gave our daughter his children’s hand-me-downs along with a congratulations gift. Kurt is also a very punctual landlord. When my family moved into his rental, Kurt had just bought the property and he allowed us to move in early. Because of the rush to get in some long term possible issues were overlooked by both parties. A few months after we moved in the refrigerator began acting up. I called Kurt and the next day I had a brand new refrigerator installed in my home. A year and a half later, the stove was acting up, I called Kurt. The following day, even though he was out of town, he had my fiancé and I pick out the stove we wanted and had in installed. Kurt is by far the most understanding, kind and respectful landlord I have ever worked with. I would recommend Kurt as a landlord to any one. If you would like to speak concerning any of my dealings with Kurt, please feel free to contact me. Kari Slagel (989) 370 4202
